Black and white images (and a hint of colour)

I call this A Tier of Colour. One of my best-selling images!

I call this shot Black and White and Blue. It’s one of my favourite images — in fact, I like it so much I must treat myself to it as a print on my office wall! It was shot in St Ives harbour on a beautiful warm summer day, with puffy white clouds and golden warm sand. I removed the colour from everything but the boats, and it works very well in my opinion. It’s certainly striking on a print with a black mount.

The local name for this boat is a St Ives Jumbo. The Celeste was built from old plans and now sails out of St Ives harbour with a local club.
